GOALS OF ESVOT
ESVOT is open to any veterinarian or member belonging to an affiliated profession interested in orthopaedics and traumatology.
The objectives of the society are:
- to disseminate the basic principles and advances in veterinary orthopaedics by means of continuing education;
- to coordinate the activities of national autonomous societies;
- to establish close contacts with other organizations which may share mutual interests.

MEMBERSHIP 
Membership of ESVOT will comprise Full Members, Corresponding Members and Honorary Members
- Full Members are considered as active members and may be any veterinarian or member of an academic profession who is interested in the objectives of the Society.
- Corresponding Members comprise elected Members who are veterinarians or other persons with a scientific interest in veterinary orthopaedics and traumatology.
- Honorary Members are those who achieve special recognition by the Society and shall be elected by the active Members at the General Meeting.

SCIENTIFIC MEETING
A general scientific meeting is held every other year in a central European town with seminars, state of the art lectures and free communications.
Authoritative guest speakers and experts are invited. Any veterinarian interested in Orthopaedics may attend.
Short courses are also offered to the members.

JOURNAL
Each member receives the VCOT (Veterinary and Comparative Orthopaedics abd Traumatology) journal, the internationally recognized authority in veterinary orthopaedics, a quarterly publication edited by Prof. G. Sumner-Smith.
